What an amazing week!
Twelve months ago I started planning my leap of faith to show my work to the world at large!
My target, Roy's Art Fair, Truman Brewery, London.
It was a thoroughly nerve wracking experience but I've loved every minute of it. There's nothing like a deadline to keep you on your creative toes!
I've learnt so much over the last few months whilst preparing for the show. The most important thing that I've learnt is that there are so many AMAZINGLY supportive artists out there that love to see their peers succeed and do well.
I can honestly say that I don't look at any other creatives as competition as we all have our own very unique styles.
It was a strange experience having the artists that I respect and normally visit at art fairs coming to see me instead! I'm so very thankful to everyone who encouraged me through the process.
We previewed last Thursday 3rd October and ran through a full three days to Sunday 6th. 28 hours of standing has wiped me out but I couldn't be happier with the feedback that I received.
A couple fo sales made and lots of business cards taken so fingers crossed that the future holds exciting opportunities. Who knows. Watch this space.
For now, it's back to my work table to plan for my next venture.
Lots of new ideas are already bubbling away and I'm excited to continue on my creative path.
And if your planning your leap of faith, I encourage you to put your big girl (or boy) pants on like I did and DO IT.
Here's some photos of the weekend. Hope you enjoy!
